Electromagnetic (EMF) Radiation Exposure

EMF radiation from electrical appliances and wiring is saturating most Dallas, Texas homes and offices. EMF radiation has been linked by thousands of scientific studies to a host of health issues including fatal diseases like diabetes, leukemia, and cancer. It is imperative to limit your exposure.

Electrical wiring errors, lights and appliances accounts for a major share of EMF radiation inside offices and homes, day and night. Electric blankets create very unhealthy magnetic fields as does mis-wired circuits that harm cells all night. EMF Health Emergency

The FCC has strict limits to prevent electromagnetic radiation from affecting other electronic devices, but virtually no limitations to prevent them from affectting living things. Their cave-man logic assums that bodies are not electromagnetic. But every cell in your body accomplishes every task it performs in every case using only electromagnetic force. Of course  when you radiate strong electromagnetic forces the cellular function breaks down immediately.

If the FCC doesn't regulate that, you may ask, what does it regulate? Their only antiquated regulation is to limit radiation exposure by preventing a cell phone from heating (cooking) a man's brain faster than six minutes. As long as a device doesn't do that, it's okay. What happens when you surround that man with a dozen devices all overlapping their approved levels of radiation? What indeed? That is the problem.

Types of EMF Radiation

Our ecological protocols are designed to safeguard human and pet health, maintain the balance of nature, and protect land and water resources. We say the urban environment is our forest floor but some parts of the forest are more toxic than others, namely those areas that are being irradiated by electromagnetic fields.

There are two types of EMF radiation corresponding to the two primary components of electromagnetic energy: magnetic fields and electric fields. 

Magnetic fields are the most studied and have been linked to critical health issues by scientists and doctors world wide since 1959. Magnetic fields are created by electricity flowing through a conductor, like a wire or water pipe and easily penetrate walls. Magnetic fields can be created by electrical wiring in the home, power lines on wooden poles or underground, and countless electrical appliances like hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, outlets, lights and switches, fluorescent lights, etc.

Electric fields make up the second type of EMF radiation. These are created by high voltage in lines when current is blocked. Electric fields create electric voltages on the skin which can be measured directly with good accuracy. Electric fields are also linked to disease and unease, and electrically sensitive people are more apt to feel discomfort in the presence of an electric field. Thankfully, walls, trees and other structural barriers can substantially block the reach of an electric field, unlike a magnetic field that tends to penetrate barriers.

Dirty Electicity

A significant cause of EMF radiation — also called electrosmog — in the home or work environment is dirty electricity. This environmental toxin converts the electrical wiring within the walls of your home into an antenna that can radiates electric fields, magnetic fields, and radio frequency fields directly into your living environment affecting the health of those in your home, so it's an important thing to get under control.

The rapidly fluctuating electromagnetic frequencies, currents or voltages from dirty electricity in your wiring can result in inflammation along with a host of serious health problems,

Causes of dirty electricity include rheostats, Smart Meters;  dimmer switches; CFL, LED, and fluorescent lights; solar power systems; charging systems for electric cars; and wireless transmitters that load signals directly into copper wiring. Electricity coming from the power company is sometimes dirty when it arrives. Stray signals create fluctuations in frequency, voltage, and other aspects of electricity that cause electrical wires to transmit electromagnetic radiation throughout your living environment.

Power Lines and Transformers

Electricity moving through power lines emits large magnetic — a toxic form of EMF radiation. High-voltage power lines atop tall metal scaffolding create fields that can extend for hundreds of feet, so it is very unhealthy to live nearby them. But even neighborhood distribution lines mounted on wooden poles or sometimes buried underground can create unexpected health hazards.

Magnetic fields have been linked to cancer in so many studies, its long past the theoretical phase into proven fact. Magnetic fields are measured in milliguass (mG). At my desk, surrounded by electronic equipment the reading is 0.3 mG, which I'm happy to report is below than the lowest level linked to cancer — 1 mG.  Six inches from my iMac, the field rises to 1 mg so it's wise to keep a safe distance from electronic equipment.

The strength of electromagnetic fields is not something you can guess at. They have to be measured with a guassmeter.

If you live near a power line that is emitting a strong magnetic field, this can be an expensive problem to fix. Residential magnetic field cancellation systems are typically in the $15,000 to $40,000 range, depending on size. Of course even those prices are preferable to cancer.  Commercial systems can run from $40,000 to $250,000 or more, depending on size and system complexity. These systems create a second magnetic field that is the exact mirror but opposite phase of the offending field so that they completely cancel each other.

Transformers on the ground or on poles are not generally problematic. They have strong magnetic fields but the power drops off dramatically about six feet away. If located inside an office building, transformers can represent a health risk. Get the area tested to be sure.

What is Radiation?

Energy radiating outward from any source is "radiation." Radiation comes from radius, the distance from the center to the outer edge of a circle. Different names were applied to the various frequencies before scientists realized it was all part of the same thing — a broad range or "spectrum" of radiant energy. Whether we experience radiation as FM radio, infrared (heat), visible light, ultraviolet radiation from the sun, x-rays at the doctor, or gamma radiation from Fukushima, these are all different forms of the same thing — some, harmful and some,  safe.

Have you ever thought "Hmm, FM, AM and television radio waves have never hurt anyone. So why should I worry about EMF or RF radiation?" As the frequency changes, the way radiation interacts with matter changes. In the band we call "radio,"  AM signals are blocked by objects, while FM signals pass right through. Visible light is perfectly healthy, while ultraviolet damages DNA.

EMF radiation interferes with our own bio-electromagnetic processes at the cellular level. So it's no wonder havoc ensues when people are exposed. In the end, you will have to draw your own conclusions and make up your own mind. If you want to lessen your own exposure, we can show you how.
