Toxin Control Introduction
Sgt. Poopers provides toxin control or removal of environmental toxins indoors and outdoors in Dallas, Texas to keep people and pets safe. With eleven years experience in the safe control of toxic residues and biohazards, Sgt. Poopers can solve the worst health threats present in most Dallas homes, businesses and backyards including EMF radiation, toxic mold and mildew, poison fungi and mushrooms, poison ivy, pesticide toxins, plus biohazards like animal waste, bacteria and viruses.
To stop the accumulation of pesticide toxins, we replace dangerous pesticides with our human- and pet-safe pest control agent an all-natural essential oil blend. This superior pest control product makes it possible to suspend on-going contamination of your property with toxic synthetic pesticides which are detrimental to health. This essential oil blend repells pests but poses no risk to people and animals.
We can also test your soil for cancer-causing pesticides like DDT, dioxin or lead contaminants from petroleum or paints — any of which may have been deposited by previous homeowners or landowners decades before your house was even built. We can test for carcinogenic substances from pressure-treated wood, fuel compounds, chemical spills, insecticides, heavy metals, radioactive isotopes and more. You never really know what may be lurking in your soil unless we test.
Toxic black Mold Control
Sgt. Poopers provides a unique protocol to control of toxic mold and mildew in indoor and outdoor settings using our next-generation hospital-grade disinfectant / fungicide that kills harmful mold, mildew and spores, plus bacteria and viruses.
Of the six most dangerous varieties of mold (see below), Sgt. Poopers disinfectant / fungicide kills them all and stops their spores from germinating with a 99.999% rate of success. Our weekly disinfection obliterates and prevents spores from mold and mildew from germinating. It also breaks down and eliminates allergens from pet dander, and allergens from dust mites and cockroaches. It also deodorizes since odors are caused by bacteria, mold and mildew. Sgt. Poopers has effectively pioneered one of the world's most effective 360° surface disinfection systems for touchless whole-room microbial decontamination with prices starting at just $4.95 per room for indoor weekly service.
Our non-toxic hospital-grade disinfectant and fungicide is EPA-registered in all 50 states, NSF rated as "No Rinse Required" on food contact surfaces even at full strength, hypo allergenic, pH balanced, odorless with no offensive odor, no perfume, no fragrance, no taste. It is non-irritating to skin, non-corrosive and non-reactive so it is safe on treated articles including floors, carpeting, fabrics, natural stones, granite, marble, tile, plastics, furniture, wood, countertops, faucets, walls and draperies, plus electronic equipment like cell phones, keyboards, computers, laptops, monitors, stereos and TVs. Application does not require gloves or respirators; and it emits no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It's even listed by the CDC for use against bacteria, viruses... even Ebola and antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" like MRSA and HAPI.
Our advanced no-touch electrostatic spray technology applies an electrical charge to each disinfectant droplet. Acting like tiny magnets, the mist adheres magnetically to exposed surfaces on all sides of each object, making for true 360° disinfection to reset the pathogen count to near zero.
Poison Mushroom Control
Dallas backyards commonly host several species of highly-toxic mushrooms which can appear overnight. Ingesting any of these poisonous fungi (loosely called "mushrooms") can not only make a human or dog severely sick, eating just one bite can result in irreversible damage to vital organs and even death. Sgt. Poopers can help protect your family and pets by finding and removing suspicious mushrooms each week when we clean. Prices start at just $1.95 for weekly customers.
The polularity of sprinkler systems that keep backyards wet has caused an unintended population boom of mushrooms and other fungi. A surprising number of common fungi species are deadly. If accidently ingested by a pet, child or adult, poison mushrooms can bring extreme discomfort, irreversable damage, organ failure and even death.
There are millions of types of mushrooms. It is nearly impossible to tell the toxic ones from benign ones because many look exactly alike. Do not eat wild mushrooms! Symptoms may not show up for hours and by then it may be too late!
Poison Ivy Control
Sgt. Poopers can stop poison ivy from growing in your yard, meaning we can kill the plant — without herbicides — efficiently, economically and safely. Prices for Sgt. Poopers poison ivy control service start at just $1.95 per week!
Using mowers and weed eaters to cut down poison ivy results in changes to their surviving root system which causes the plant to spread like wilfire. This puts children and adults at high risk.
Poison ivy is native to North Texas. It's very hardy and will keep coming back. So we have a solution: we come back too, like clockwork. Our business model puts us in your yard every week anyway. So we are uniquely streamlined for the role we play in conservation. The fact is, poison ivy grows mostly in human-disturbed areas like in the edges of yards or woods. We correct the problem.
To do so, we don't need toxic herbicides like Roundup which is now under fire as an admitted lethal human carcinogen. At this writing Monsanto is now the target of more than 13,400 Roundup lawsuits, including one in which the plaintiff received a jury award of $78.5 million in compensatory and punitive damages. At Sgt. Poopers, we don't do toxic. The solution we spray 100% safe for humans, pets, and insects but kills poison ivy.
Pesticide Toxin Contamination
Today, there is just no reason to live in an environment continually re-contaminated by synthetic chemical pesticide toxins.
Sgt. Poopers enables you to suspend application of toxic chemicals in favor of our effective and 100% natural pest-control agent that is non-toxic to humans, pets, plants, and beneficial insects like bees and butterflies. It cannot be overapplied and does not require regulation per the EPA. It is an essential oil blend that's human and pet safe. Using a multi-step filtration process, this essential oil blend is purified of all unnecessary contaminants and any other potentially harmful ingredients. It does not contain phenols or phenolic compounds which can be harmful to birds. It does not leave any oily residue or stain.
Toxic Soil Testing
Sgt. Poopers provides two kinds of soil testing in Dallas, Texas. To protect your family's health, it's wise to test the soil around your house.
The first type of soil test we do is to reveal the presence of toxic contaminates. The purpose of this test is to protect you and your family. The soil around your home or business could have become contaminated in many ways. Before your home was built, was it the location of a farm or business that used solvents or chemicals? Perhaps a tractor dripped motor oil in the spot where you want to plant a garden. Perhaps someone dumped a tank of DDT and rinsed it out with a hose. Perhaps your home sits on an extinct golf course like Bob 'O Link along Abrams Road where '50s and '60s era pesticides were used to kill chinch bugs?
Young children in particular are vulnerable to soil-based toxins that can be absorbed through hands or feet, inhaled or in some way ingested. While foods grown in contaminated soil may look good, they can absorb toxins from the soil. Soil toxins that can have built up over the years includes pesticides, herbicides, petroleum hydrocarbons, cleaning products, industrial chemicals, heavy metals, radioactive compounds, bacteria, viruses and parasites.
If you're planning a gardening project, soil testing is vital. Sgt. Poopers soil tests are performed by certified labs. They provide insight into your soil’s structure, pH levels, and the ratio of nutrients present. Will the pH balance in your yard turn your green thumb brown? Sgt. Poopers can help you know before you grow.
Conservation means managing human impact on the environment, so we remove contaminates and handle problems like toxins, plants and fungi that too often are responsible for poisoning people and their pets.
What follows is a list and a short description of each type of toxic control service we provide. To learn more about any type, click on the green box or call us any day of the week. We're always happy to answer questions!
EMF and RF Radiation Protection
RF and EMF radiation should frighten the heck out of you. The only reason it doesn't is because — like 99% of people — you don't know anything about it.
The radiation saturating our Dallas, Texas homes and offices is an environmental toxin. Electrosmog pollution is highly toxic to all life. Sgt. Poopers can protect you by surveying your home, room by room, to detect and measure electromagnetic field (EMF) and radio frequency (RF) radiation exposure levels throughout your home, trace down every offending device, and advise you on how to reduce or eliminate this exposure. You will receive a printed report and easy-to-do program steps to reduce your exposure starting immediately. We call this our Radiation Lock Down service.
There are four types of radiation pollution found in homes:
electrical wires in walls, stray electricity in water pipes, buried power lines, hidden cell tower antennas in church steeples and water towers, nearby cordless DECT phones even when not being used, the neighbor’s wireless devices, etc. Therefore, we recommend that everyone measure the actual levels found in their own home, school or office with the proper EMF test meters.
- Radio Frequency (RF) pollution caused by routers smartphones, "smart" meters (yours and neighbor's), baby monitors, cordless phones, Internet routers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cell towers (sometimes disguised as trees or hidden in structures), microwave ovens, computers, laptops, tablets, VoIP phones, home security systems, printers, modern cars, garage door openers, "smart" appliances, and more.
- Large magnetic fields caused by electricity flowing through distribution lines, stray electricity in water pipes, buried power lines, electrical transformers, mis-wired circuits in walls, lamps, electric motors, and kitchen appliances.
- Electric fields from LEDs, CFLs, fluorescent lights, dimmer switches, electronic equipment, voltage adapters, appliances, audio equipment, TVs, speakers, extension cords, and more.
- Ionizing radiation (radioactivity) caused by cancer medications; antiques; smoke detectors; fluorescent lights; zircon, beryl, tourmaline and topaz gemstones; lantern mantles (treated with thorium and beryllium); some porcelain teeth and veneers; radium-dial clocks and watches; tritium gun sights, compasses, watch faces; recycled (contaminated) metals; pottery; some granite countertops; some natural stone walls; antique glassware; ceramic bathroom tiles made with uranium oxide and ceramic dinnerware. Uranium oxide and sodium urinate were used in glazes to produce colors like the famous orange-red Fiestaware produced until 1974.
Since the 1970s, thousands of studies, researchers and scientists have linked radiation exposure to serious health problems, and at levels that were a fraction of the intensity saturating our homes and businesses today.
Roundworm Infection — Baylisascaris procyonis
In North America, the presence of B. procyonis in raccoons are very common. It can spread to dogs, other animals, and people. While human infections are not common, they can be disastrous if the parasites invade the brain, organs or eyes.
Indications: The incubation period is usually 1 to 4 weeks. If present, signs and symptoms can include the following: nausea, tiredness, liver enlargement, loss of coordination, lack of attention to people and surroundings, loss of muscle control, blindness, coma.
Indications: Victims can exhibit diarrhea (sometimes bloody), nausea, vomiting, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever within two to five days after exposure to campylobacteriosis. Some infected people do not have any symptoms.
Inhalation of Cryptococcus neoformans fungus
Indications: C. neoformans usually infects the lungs or the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord), but it can also affect other parts of the body. The symptoms of the infection depend on the parts of the body that are affected. In lungs: cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever.
In brain: headache, fever, neck pain, nausea and vomiting, sensitivity to light, confusion or changes in behavior. Most people who are exposed never get sick from it; people with weakened immune systems are most at risk.
E. coli bacteria
Indications: Severe stomach cramps, diarrhea (often bloody), and vomiting. Some people may have a low fever (101˚F or below). Some infections are mild, others can be more severe or even life-threatening. The majority of people get better within 5 to 7 days.
Rat feces (Norway Rats, Roof Rats)
Inhalation of Hantavirus (hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome)
Indications: This disease comes from Norway rats also called roof rats. Symptoms of HFRS usually develop within 1 to 2 weeks after exposure to infectious material, but can take longer.
Initial symptoms begin suddenly and include intense headaches, back and abdominal pain, fever, chills, nausea, blurred vision, low blood pressure, acute shock, vascular leakage, and kidney failure. Complete recovery can take weeks or months.
Ingestion of Norovirus
Indications: Norovirus is a very contagious virus that causes vomiting and diarrhea. Anyone can get infected from direct contact with an infected person, ingesting contaminated food or water, touching contaminated surfaces (wash hands!).
Ingestion Hepatitis A virus
Indications: Transmitted person-to-person through traces of fecal matter, or ingestion of contaminated food or water. Symptoms including fatigue, low appetite, stomach pain, nausea, and jaundice.
Inhalation of Histoplasma capsulatum fungus
Indications: Most won't get sick from breathing these fungal spores which live in soil contaminated by bird or bat droppings. However, in those who have a weakened immune systems, the infection can become severe.
Histoplasmosis symptoms are fever, cough, and fatigue.
Inhalation of dust containing Chlamydia psittaci bacteria
Indications: Psittacosis causes a wide range of symptoms, including fever, headache, and a dry cough. This illness can also lead to the onset of pneumonia (a dangerous lung infection) that may require hospital treatment. Rarely, the disease can be deadly.
Reptiles (turtles), birds, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs feces
Ingestion of Salmonella bacteria
Indications: Most people infected with Salmonella recover without treatment. The disease lasts 4 to 7 days, and starts with diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps usually between 12 and 72 hours after they've been infected. In rare cases, the affliction can become so severe that they require hospitalization. Their Salmonella infection can spread from the intestinal system to the circulatory system, and from there to organs. If not treated, these severe infections can be fatal.
Toxoplasma gondii parasite
Indications: Toxoplasmosis is considered to be a leading cause of death attributed to foodborne illness in the United States. More than 40 million men, women, and children in the U.S. carry the Toxoplasma parasite, but very few have symptoms because the immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. When illness occurs, it is usually mild with “flu-like” symptoms (e.g., tender lymph nodes, muscle aches, etc.) that last for weeks to months and then go away. Dangerous for pregnant women!
Ingestion or inhalation of Francisella tularensis bacteria
Indications: The symptoms of tularemia vary, ranging from mild to life-threatening, depending on how the bacteria got in the body. All forms include fever up to 104 °F.
Other symptoms may include chills, enlarged lymph nodes, fever, headache, joint stiffness, muscle pain, shortness of breath, sweating, weight loss, red spot on skin.
