The Radiation Lockdown Story

As a conservation company, Sgt. Poopers mission is to handle environmental toxins including radiation because it threatens so many lives today including children and even pets. Our own dog, Maria (who was the inspiration for Sgt. Poopers) died of heart disease, which is one of the consequences of EMF radiation. I myself was experiencing worsening health, as well as my wife.

Long before we knew anything about this "invisible enemy" we had noticed we always slept much more peacefully in one bedroom at one end of the house vs the others. Upstairs, it felt like trying to sleep with the lights on all night even when they were off. There was some kind of background "turbulence" in the air that made sleeping uncomfortable. We had trouble sleeping, tended to wake up tired.

It had also become highly unpleasant to sit at my desk in my home office, where I had spent most of my waking hours over the last 10 years. It felt like I was being sprayed by an invisible fire hose. It required conscious effort just to sit there. At my desk, I experienced difficulty concentrating, weight gain, inflammation in joints, worsening eyesight, and was told I had markers for early onset of diabetes. What was causing this deterioration?

I love science and am a fact-finder by nature so I started researching and was shocked by what the experts said about electromagnetic radiation.

Figuring anything is cheaper than doctor bills, I invested in electronic meters capable of measuring electromagnetic radiation. These would provide multiple feedback modalities including precise digital readouts, lights for visual feedback, and audio feedback. The audio is particularly insightful because each type of electronic radiation sounds different.

I'll never forget the day I turned on my new radio frequency meter, an almost $400 gamble. Starting in the kitchen, the radiation levels were already significant. I was dumbfounded. When I turned on the microwave (about which children often congregate), the radiation blast was insanely high. The metal skin of the microwave shields nothing except the highest intensity of the microwave capable of boiling water. The entire house was being saturated with radiation I turned it off and we immediately stopped using the microwave there and then (there are great safe alternatives).  I thought of the cumulative hours my family had spent around the microwave oven while it was on, mistakenly assuming it was "safe."

As I left the kitchen and walked toward my office, the meter went absolutely berserk. I could hear every different source of radio frequency radiation — a the ROARING cacophony of buzzes, blips, stutters. The experience is incredibly alarming. The audio feedback enabled me to finally reveal the invisible monster I had been living with all these years. For the first time, I knew it wasn't just my imagination. Something was really wrong.

The power level was off the chart. I was dismayed having had no idea it was that bad. Sitting at my desk was like sitting before the open door of an electronic blast furnace.

I realized the FCC and Big Telecom had betrayed the good people of the world. Oncor, AT&T,  Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, Panasonic, LG and all the other companies and equipment manufacturers have been producing and selling equipment and devices with no warnings, including every microwave oven back to the original Amana Radar Range in 1967.

Microwave ovens were discovered when a technician noticed that standing in front of a radar antenna caused his chocolate bar to melt. Your cell phone uses the same microwave frequencies.

Never suspecting the danger of RF radiation, over the years I had added one device after another. Layer upon layer, of radiation, each device adding a new source of exposure. And of course radiation is cumulative.

I counted twenty-three individual sources sending radiation just into my office. Each blasting out radiation exceeding the "dangerous" level. The reality was extremely disconcerting, especially considering I had been soaking in that kind of environment for decades.

Thirteen of the twenty-three RF sources were within an arms reach! so I was literally being bathed in electronic radiation all day long. Every single one of these twenty three sources was blazing away 24/7 well above levels linked to irreparable bodily harm and disease. Elsewhere in our  house, there were more devices.

Making matters worse was the fact that many devices broadcast simultaneously on multiple electromagnetic platforms. When the antiquated regulations for electromagnetic radiation were established by the FCC, a cell phone was not a smart phone. They set a limit (which was already unsafe as no human testing or trials were ever done to establish how radiation affects live cells) that would prevent the phone from actually cooking up your flesh. If you've ever talked for an hour on a cordless phone, your head will heat up despite the FCC limits because they put out much more than the recommended dosage over time. Wireless telephones output a massively powerful signal called DECT 6.0 which stands for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications. 

Compounding the problem, smart phones and many other wireless devices broadcast on multiple platforms simultaneously. For example, smart phones (1) make and receive phone calls, (2) send and receive cellular data, (3) send and receive WiFi, (4) send and receive Bluetooth. That's like having 4 cellphones on your body at all times. If you have a wireless-connected TV, Amazon Fire Stick, and the like, they send and receive Wi-Fi, plus Bluetooth for the remote. So here's the list of all the culprits I found in my own home:

Did we really need 69 sources of radio frequency (RF) radiation blazing away. No. We didn't actually need any of them. Using our equipment, I tracked the radiation down to each offending device. Quite a bit of research went into figuring out how to fix each individual problem. Some were easy. Some were a bit more involved and required more effort. But with each one fixed, the level of RF radiation went lower and lower and finally reached safe levels throughout our home.

Next, we tackled electromagnetic field radiation, which consists of electric fields and magnetic fields. For this, we needed two more meters since they must be detected and measured in separately. Some of these levels were also high as well, measuring more than 200 V/m. Safe level is below 0.1 V/m. For example, under the bed in the master bedroom was an old cable-company TV cable coiled under the bed that wasn't even hooked up to a TV, but was creating a large EMF field thank you very much. In fact, all the sources of radiation in the bedroom played off the metal springs in our mattress to turn our bed into a electronic waffle iron. No wonder we woke up tired and sick every morning!

Even when our TVs were turned off, the Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Fire Sticks were blazing away continuously day and night with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals. Electric lamps by the bed were emitting large electric fields. In the beginning it was not clear how to fix anything, nor even clear if these problems could be fixed. But each offending device was tracked down and either  handled, or a solution was created. Some devices could be disabled. Some needed the construction of a special cage to block electromagnetic radiation called a Faraday cage.

With all these source of radiation either disabled, de-powered or blocked the bedroom became peaceful to sleep in for the first time ever. It felt and it was possible to get a good night's sleep.
